An Inspiration That Defeats Mountains

As we live our lives and move through time, we will be faced with difficulties and we will be confronted with a many problems. Some of these will be relatively easy to surmount. Some of them will be extremely hard. But there are those that will be as mountains in our lives and they will require more of ourselves and of our efforts than we would like to display in order to overcome.

overcoming mountains

Mountains stand above everything on the earth. They have been called the roof of the world. They can be extremely intimidating. They are large and exults extreme power. Therefore, mountains can feel to us that they are too great even to face. We can feel as water before them, powerless even to address them at all and having no vision of victory regarding them in our imagination or in our hearts.

The writer said that ”I took the road less traveled and it has made all the difference”. Surely the road across the mountain is indeed a road less traveled. And there is no doubt that it will make all the difference and truly a great and wonderful difference for those who are there successful. But alas we spend huge parts of our time refusing to address at all that great thing standing in the way through which our life must past. Is there a way around? Can we pass by through the valley? Is there a need to go on at all? But for sure, there comes a time when our only way through is over the mountain.

Our difficulties sanctify us. They baptize us. They make us new and they set us aglow. They encourage our hearts and make us feel that anything is possible for us. They cause us to rejoice. When is the last time that you rejoiced? Turn toward that mountain in your life and take a look at your rejoicing. Take a look at your victory. Take a look at your exceeding joy. Take a look at your great thankfulness. Take a look at that new hope for your life.

Sure, mountain climbing takes great effort, great energy and great courage, but the pay back is great also, and we get to move on in our lives. We get to continue our journey. We get to go on to find out what it is that we are, and what great things are set forth for us to do.”

To him that hath more shall be given, but to him that hath not, even that which he seems to have shall be taken away”. That is how it is when it comes to facing the mountains which appear in the pathways of our life. It is like success unto greater success for us or failure unto failure. But things can not remain as they were. And we can not remain the same. Oh why does this stuff have to be so serious and so powerful and so real. I guess so that we can be so wonderfully blessed as we move on and succeed and rise up. So that we can experience pure happiness and true inner joy.

But in spite of all of that, consider this, we have all that we need to be adapt mountain climbers. We can do it. It is like we are endowed with the inner disposition just for dealing with mountains, like we were designed for victory, fashioned for triumph. Like a great race horse mistakenly put out to pasture. Let us then with effort and belief rise up within ourselves and be what we are.

What we are, what we truly are, is calling out to us from within. It is calling us to what we were designed for . And there are times, moments of inspiration, when we hear briefly those callings. And we know that it is a great call, calling us to greatness. Calling us to scale the mountains. To take the mountains.

And so finally, we have now arrived. We have arrived at the place where we have had need of being all the time. We have arrived at the place of FAITH. It is written in biblical scripture that faith comes by hearing. Also that” he that hath an ear to hear, let him hear”. I ask you now, can you hear presently, that inner call crying out to you of your greatness. As you hear it, you will believe, you will have faith. And the clearer and better you hear it, the better and stronger will be your faith. Can you hear presently that sweet eternal cry of beauty crying out from within telling you of your wonderful greatness.

It is said that a person can come to a place where the hearing is so clear and so strong and so overwhelming that a faith so powerful is inspired that such a one can just say unto a mountain” be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea” and it shall be done. Let us then, take time to be still and hear. And let us do the things and listen to the things that produce inspiration within ourselves that we might strengthen our ear to believe, and to take the mountains.
